Owner and Executive Chef Charles Metee welcomes you to Shaba Shabu to experience a unique concept in dining!  Shaba Shabu incorporates authentic Thai and Japanese cuisine served in a urban, contemporary setting.  Shaba is the Thai word for hibiscus, the tropical flower.  Shabu in Japanese translates to swish, which refers to the creative way of preparing raw beef and seafood at the table.

Shaba Shabu offers two restaurants in one, the taste of Thailand and Japan in one captivating atmosphere!  Enjoy flavorful Thai cuisine highlighted with traditional, imported decor.  If it's sushi you crave, dine on the Japanese side with open sushi bar, tempura, and yakitori grill (Raleigh Location Only). 

Shaba Shabu is one of only 15 restaurants in the U.S. featuring Shaba Shabu Bar.

Traditional Thai cuisine prepared by owner and executive chef Charles Metee.  The featured entrees, appetizers and salads are full of flavor utilizing many rich herbs and spices.  The Thai meal is a harmonious blend of the spicy, the subtle, the sweet and sour and is equally satisfying to eye, nose and palate. It is served in a warm cozy atmosphere surrounded by authentic Thai details and furnishings.

Japanese cuisine at its finest!  Traditional Japanese cooking using almost no spices. The emphasis is on
pure, clean flavors of Japans indigenous ingredients: fish, seaweed, vegetables, rice and soybean. 
Shabu Shabu features entrees with a harmonious balance of artistic presentation, the selection of plate
or serving piece and the taste of the food itself... prepared by one of the nations finest chefs, owner
Charles Metee.
