Spanky's - a Chapel Hill Tradition for 27 years

Spanky's, is an American Bar and Grill located on the busiest corner of downtown Chapel Hill, NC. A Chapel Hill institution since 1977, Spanky's is famous for great hamburgers, brown sugar baby back ribs, garden fresh salads and North Carolina BBQ cooked on premise. One of Franklin Street's most famous landmarks, Spanky's is a stone's throw from the campus of the University of North Carolina and a short drive from the Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU) and the Research Triangle Park (RTP). The bar is a late night destination for local citizens and students of UNC.

Cuisine:   The American grill menu features signature sandwiches, seasonal salads, fresh seafood, pastas and world famous burgers and ribs with fantastic desserts that are all made in house.   

After a long day, unwind at the bar with views of Frankline Street traffic out every window, and enjoy daily specials courtesy of the late night crew.

Private Parties/Events:  Spanky's offers in house and off premise catering for a variety of events. Their extensive menu can be served as a box lunch, hot buffets, or plated dinners. Spanky's offers convenient meeting space in a historic setting, built in 1902, the building features hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, and large picture windows overlooking the heart of Chapel Hill.   Whether you are interested in a simple lunch meeting or a formal dinner, we have a variety of menus and seating options to choose from.  With a private bar, entrance, and restrooms, this space is ideal for larger groups. Each room seats 35 to 40 people and can be joined for groups of 75 to 85. For mixers and cocktail parties that require less seating, we can accommodate 100 people. If you'd rather have the event at your place, we'll cater to all your needs.  We're happy to meet your special requests.  Please call for details and booking information.
