The Alley, formerly known as Western Lanes, has been a Hillsborough Street landmark for over 50 years and is a truly unique place to bowl in Raleigh, NC. The Alley is the perfect place for families, young professionals and students to get together. In addition to 24 original hardwood lanes, we have multiple flat screen TVs showing nearly every game in season, a separate bar specifically designed for private parties, and Kingpin Grill, a full-service restaurant that serves street food with an attitude. Our state-of-the-art sound system and retro upfit will make your bowling experience one to remember. And we’re open until 2am on Friday and Saturdays, making us a great nightlife spot for the young at heart. The Alley offers excitement to a conventional setting with its old time score cards and nostalgic surroundings and has struck a balance between retro bowling alley and an energetic bar and restaurant.

Kingpin Grill Now Open!
We're getting ready for fall and football season here at The Alley. And we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to announce that our new restaurant, Kingpin Grill, is now open. And let's just say, it's totally awesome. Serving the best burgers and hotdogs in Raleigh, Kingpin Grill is the perfect place to come watch some football, bowl a couple of games, and just kick back with some good food.
