The Oxford is Raleigh's first gastro pub and is located on Fayettville Street, directly under the Hudson.

The hallmark of a gastro pub is an adventurous twist on familiar food made from scratch with honest ingredients. We prefer a straightforward bill of fare that leaves room for experimentation. Its as adventurous as you want to be. Fancy or simple, the dishes are all reasonably priced. We serve a menu having a world beat that is unpretentious and equally inviting to regulars and families with strollers in tow.

Gastro pubs are not 'see and be seen' venues but more 'come as you are' places. In short, bridging the gap between traditional Pubs and upscale Restaurants. A Cuisine-conscious tavern, specializing in high-quality food a step above basic 'pub grub'.

The beer list is quite extensive and includes a large array of pilsners, dark and light lagers, porters, stouts, wheats, amber ales, Belgians, goldens, browns, pales, Scotch ale, Lambics, and ciders.

The restaurant is composed of three areas, the Parlor Room, an intimate casual setting with large LCD television, huge British flag painted wall, and a fiber optic light studded ceiling. The main dining area occupies the center area just behind the front hostess stand and Oxford fish tank and the bar occupies the majority of the left wall.

Eschelon Hospitality was founded in 2006 with the purpose of developing and delivering exciting and unique hospitality concepts to the Raleigh-Durham area. Eschelon set the standard for sushi restaurants with Mura at North Hills and expanded our restaurant concepts to three in the span of a few years.

Eschelon's first restaurant, Mura, is located in midtown Raleigh's North Hills shopping center. The latest additions to Eschelon's group are Sono and The Oxford; both located in downtown Raleigh on
Fayetteville Street. We take pride in creating new and trendy concepts in foodservice, while also taking every measure to ensure our guests have a memorable dining experience by operating to uncompromising standards of service, courtesy, cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
